Provide support for Cisco network equipment in collocation centers for supporting a fully redundant network infrastructure. Also support FreeBSD servers running DJB DNS, Sendmail, Apache and MySQL supporting an E-Commerce business. Support a two-server Call Manager 4 cluster, a Unity 4 server and a Cisco IP Contact Center server running a call center of 20 customer service agents.
Level II Network Administrator - Meridian Joint School District No. 02 October 2001 - November 2004
Provided support for nearly 150 pieces of Cisco WAN/LAN equipment including configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches, PIX firewalls and wireless devices. Managed a Cisco Voice over IP system encompassing 13 sites and 800 phones. Set up new buildings from configuring the router and switches to configuring phones and setting up voicemail. Managed a Windows 2000 domain with Active Directory supporting two domain controllers running DHCP and DNS servers supporting 40 remote sites, two Cisco Call Managers running SQL Server and a Cisco Unity Messaging server running Exchange. Managed six RedHat Linux servers running various district-wide applications such as Follett library database, Apache web servers, MySQL databases, Q-mail e-mail server, LDAP directory, SmartFilter filtering software running on Cisco Content Engines, DJB DNS, and MRTG and Nagios status monitoring software. Provided second level support to 11 System Administrators supporting nearly 40 NetWare 4.11, NetWare 5.1 and NetWare 6 servers.

Provided computer and network support for four elementary schools, one middle school, one alternative middle school and one alternative high school. Managed four NetWare 3.12 servers, seven NetWare 4.11 servers, and three Windows NT 4 servers. Installed Client Access and Mocha Telnet for users to access AS/400. Maintained and supported approximately 1000 computers serving nearly 3900 users.

Installed network wiring using Category 5 cabling throughout building. Installed and configured NetWare 5.0 server including Netscape Enterprise Server for NetWare. Configured 15 client machines and 2 printers for network access.

Responsible for most project testing, reporting project status, and web page development. Used shell scripts to automate running the testsuite. Wrote additional test cases to test additional functionality.

Responsible for implementing a new database and applications for the Human Resources Department. Used Microsoft Access 2.0 to create the database, Microsoft Visual Basic 4.0 to create the applications and Seagate Crystal Reports 6.0 to design the reports.
Climate Data Retrieval System - Senior Project Spring 1998
Modified existing Perl script to automate download of weather data files on a daily and hourly basis. Created a Perl script to strip out file headers, format and archive data files for easy search and retrieval by a web interface.
